Prime Day ran from Tuesday to Friday, but that’s over with now. So, we turned our attention to regular deals (no subscription required) and here is what we found – a lot of Poco phones.
Starting with the Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro – here’s the versus article – you can get flagship performance from this year (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) or from last year (Snapdragon 8 Elite). The Ultra is a large phone with a 6.9” display and a 6,500mAh battery, while the Pro is mid-sized with a 6.59” display and 6,210mAh battery. Both phones have 100W wired charging, but only the Ultra does wireless (50W).
Another place where the Poco F8 Ultra stands out is the camera – the 50MP main has a larger sensor (1/1.31” vs. 1/1.55”), a 50MP telephoto with a longer lens (5x/115mm vs. 2.5x/60mm) and a higher resolution ultra-wide (50MP vs. 8MP).
Instead of the F8 Pro, consider the Poco F7 Ultra – it has the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip but with more RAM (16GB vs. 12GB). It has a sharper 6.67” display (1440p+) but a smaller 5,300mAh battery (with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging). Given the equal pricing, however, we’d go with the newer model.
The Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max are similar to the F8 duo. The former is a smaller phone (6.59” vs. 6.83” display) and has a smaller battery (6,500mAh vs. 8,500mAh). Charging is the same though (100W wired only).

This time around, however, the cameras are identical – so other than the size, these two are separated by their chipsets. The Pro uses a Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the Pro Max inches closer to flagship territory with the Dimensity 9500s (a variant of the Dimensity 9400+). Here is a detailed Poco X8 Pro vs. Poco X8 Pro Max comparison.
