A new Samsung Galaxy M-series phone has surfaced on Geekbench ahead of its official launch. The listing suggests the device could be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M67. The phone appeared with the model number SM-M676K. Interestingly, the benchmark listing shows that Samsung may use the Exynos 2200 chipset in the device. This is the same flagship processor that powered the Galaxy S22 series in 2022 and later arrived in the Galaxy S23 FE.
The Exynos 2200 is built on a 4nm process. It features a 1+3+4 CPU setup and reaches a maximum clock speed of 2.8GHz. The chip also includes the Xclipse GPU, which is based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture. Notably, it was the first mobile GPU to support hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
The Geekbench listing reveals some early performance numbers. The Galaxy M67 scored 1,589 points in the single-core test. Meanwhile, it achieved 3,923 points in the multi-core benchmark. The device also comes with 8GB of RAM. In addition, the listing shows that it runs Android 17. It is expected to ship with Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software on top.
Samsung’s Galaxy M-series devices often share many specifications with Galaxy A-series smartphones. However, the Galaxy M67 may take a different path. At this stage, there is no clear indication that the phone shares its hardware with any Galaxy A-series model. More details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
Samsung usually launches its Galaxy M-series phones in India and selected Asian markets. Therefore, the Galaxy M67 could follow the same strategy once it becomes official.
