Lightweight Design Takes Center Stage
The standout impression from the briefing wasn’t a spec or a feature, it was the weight. Samsung hasn’t published an official number yet, but early impressions put these glasses much closer to the featherweight feel of Rokid’s AI Style glasses than to Meta’s Ray-Ban Wayfarer model, which has developed a reputation for getting uncomfortable after a full day of wear. If Samsung can hold onto that lightness once the glasses ship, it could end up being the single biggest differentiator against Meta’s lineup.
Battery Life Claims
Samsung is also leading with battery claims that outpace what Meta currently offers: roughly 9 hours of continuous use per charge, with the charging case good for about seven additional full charges. What makes that notable is the context Samsung gave around it.
The estimate isn’t based on a light workload like passive audio streaming. It reportedly reflects a mix of everyday tasks, including running Gemini Live, playing music, and recording video. Pulling that off in a lighter frame than the competition is a meaningful engineering claim, assuming it holds up once the glasses are in real-world use.

Four Designs With Fashion Partners
Samsung showed off two frame styles from Gentle Monster and two from Warby Parker, giving an early sense of how it’s positioning these as a fashion-forward product rather than just a tech gadget. The Warby Parker frames land close to the classic Wayfarer silhouette that Meta has built its own glasses around, while the Gentle Monster pairs were the only ones shown alongside their charging cases. More styles are expected to follow before launch.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
Samsung isn’t ready to talk pricing or an exact release date, only confirming a fall launch window. Given the company’s recent pattern, a debut at IFA or a standalone October event, similar to how it handled the Galaxy XR launch last year, both seem plausible.
