TEKEVER and iCOMAT Expand Industrial Partnership to Support AR5 Manufacturing in the UK – sUAS News


Standfirst: The partnership brings together two companies backed by the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), combining TEKEVER’s operationally proven autonomous systems with iCOMAT’s next-generation composite manufacturing technologies to help strengthen NATO’s industrial capability and technological sovereignty.

TEKEVER, Europe’s leading provider of AI-enabled autonomous systems, and iCOMAT, the advanced composites manufacturer and inventor of Rapid Tow Shearing (RTS), today announced the expansion of their partnership supporting the production and industrialisation of the AR5 unmanned aerial system.

As part of OVERMATCH —  TEKEVER’s £400 million industrial expansion programme to scale manufacturing capacity, accelerate the development of next-generation autonomous capabilities and strengthen the UK’s sovereign defence industrial base — TEKEVER has today signed a MoU with iCOMAT to further explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership in relation to advanced composite manufacturing.

The partnership forms part of TEKEVER’s strategy to build a resilient, high-performance UK supply chain by working with specialist British manufacturers, strengthening local industrial capability while supporting the company’s continued growth.

The collaboration leverages iCOMAT’s manufacturing operations in Gloucester and Swindon, further reinforcing the UK’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.

The programme demonstrates how collaboration between a European leader in AI-enabled autonomous systems and innovative UK manufacturing partners can accelerate the industrialisation of advanced defence technologies, helping strengthen the defence industrial base of the UK, Europe and NATO.
