Google is testing a “Strongest match” or “Strong match” label on certain search ads. This one is confirmed Google’s Ginny Marvin announced it on LinkedIn and X.
Marvin wrote: “We’ll be running a small experiment with adding a ‘Strongest match’ or ‘Strong match’ label to certain search ads.”
Here is how it looks.

A label like this could help improve CTR for the ads it appears on, since it visually signals to users that the result is a particularly strong match for their search.
This isn’t the only recent test we’ve seen around sponsored results. Google has also been experimenting with other additions like “Read more” and “Learn more” links, suggesting the company is trying out several ways to make sponsored listings more informative or more clickable around the same time.
