ECOVACS has expanded its robotic window-cleaning lineup with the launch of the WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI, a $599.99 model designed to handle large windows, tricky edges, exterior glass, mirrors, and other surfaces with less hands-on effort.
The latest WINBOT combines upgraded edge cleaning, cordless operation, intelligent navigation, multiple cleaning modes, and a portable OMNI Station that doubles as a charging, control, and storage hub.
Improved Edge-To-Edge Cleaning
One of the biggest upgrades comes from TruEdge 2.0 Technology, which combines frame detection with four active corner scrubbers made with high-density felt bristles.
The system is designed to reach areas along window frames and corners that larger cleaning pads may miss. ECOVACS says the updated design improves cleaning efficiency by up to 46% compared with the previous generation, allowing the robot to cover up to one square meter of glass in about 90 seconds.
For dirtier windows, the WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI uses dual-sided pressurized spraying with three nozzles on each side. ECOVACS says the upgraded arrangement increases spray coverage to 90%, helping loosen rain marks, dust, pollen, fingerprints, pet marks, and other buildup before the microfiber pad wipes the surface.
A 4.1-ounce water reservoir provides enough capacity for up to 807 square feet of cleaning per fill.
Cordless Cleaning With the OMNI Station
The included OMNI Station serves as the WINBOT’s portable base, housing its battery, controls, cable management, charging system, and accessories.
Its integrated 5,200mAh battery provides up to 110 minutes of cordless cleaning, which could be particularly useful around balconies, bathrooms, and other areas where an outlet is inconvenient or unavailable. The system can also connect directly to AC power for longer cleaning sessions.
A retractable 2-in-1 cable handles both power delivery and safety tethering, while the station itself uses a bottom suction plate capable of generating more than 800N of anchoring force. A separate one-meter safety rope provides another layer of protection.
Navigation for Windows, Mirrors, and More
ECOVACS equips the WINBOT W2S PRO OMNI with WIN-SLAM 4.0 Technology, allowing it to plan cleaning routes across several types of surfaces.
The robot supports large floor-to-ceiling windows, frameless partitions, mirrors, and tilted windows up to ±45 degrees. Its sensor system combines optocouplers, mechanical bumpers, pressure sensors, and an inertial measurement unit to detect borders, frames, handles, locks, and other obstacles.
Users can select from eight cleaning modes through the ECOVACS mobile app, voice controls, or buttons on the OMNI Station. Available options include Fast Clean, Thorough Clean, Heavy-Duty, Zone Clean, Edge Clean, and Deep Clean.
ECOVACS also says this is its quietest WINBOT model yet, operating at 66dB with a four-layer noise-reduction system.
Built With Multiple Safety Systems
Window-cleaning robots have a slightly more stressful job description than the average floor vacuum, so ECOVACS has equipped the W2S PRO OMNI with a 12-tier safety system.
Hardware protections include 10,000Pa of suction, automatic air-pressure compensation, anti-drop protection, a floating wiping pad plate, and power-loss safeguards. ECOVACS says the system can detect air leaks in as little as 0.007 seconds and automatically compensate to maintain suction.
If power is interrupted or the battery becomes critically low, the robot is designed to remain attached to the glass for more than 30 minutes. Insurance protection is also included for qualifying damage caused by a loss of suction.
