Honor has, in the past, been rumored to aim for an 11,000 mAh to 12,000 mAh battery for the upcoming Power3, but then it seemed like 10,000 mAh was all it would get. We also heard that the company was developing a 14,000 mAh smartphone battery, but right now it’s unclear what happened to that.
However, Digital Chat Station now claims that Honor is developing a new 12,000 mAh battery, which has already entered “trial production”. 12,000 mAh, of course, is the typical capacity that will be advertised by the brand. The battery allegedly has a rated capacity of 11,790 mAh, and a rated energy of 43.86 Wh.
Honor Power2
Unfortunately, the tipster did not mention which exact device this battery is intended for. Speculation is rampant in the comments section of the Weibo post, with some suggesting that it could be a member of the upcoming Honor Win2 family, perhaps the Win Turbo2. There’s also still a chance that it’s intended for the Honor Power3. Hopefully more details will emerge in the near future.
