Honor Magic 9 is coming next month
The September launch is not a big surprise. Rumors had already pointed to a September debut, but this is the first time Honor has confirmed the timing itself. The company’s CEO, Li Jian, announced that the Magic 9 series is now open for blind pre-orders across Honor stores, the Honor Mall and major online retailers.
Honor has not revealed the full specifications yet. This means there is still plenty we don’t know about the new phones. What we do know is that the company wants to make the camera system a major part of the Magic 9 experience.

ARRI partnership continues
Here’s the interesting part however. Honor has also confirmed that the Magic 9 series will continue its partnership with ARRI. It’s a well-known German company behind professional cinema cameras and film equipment.
Honor says the two companies will keep working on a complete mobile film creation system. This will cover the whole process. From shooting and pre-production to color grading after the video has been recorded.
That could make the camera system one of the main selling points of the Magic 9 series. Honor has been putting more focus on mobile photography and video with each new flagship, and the ARRI partnership gives it another way to stand out from Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi.
More details are still coming
For now, though, I would not read too much into the early details. The Magic 9 series is still more than a month away, and Honor has plenty of time to reveal the rest of the hardware.
What matters is that the launch date is now official. The Magic 9 series will arrive in September 2026, and pre-orders are already open in China. If Honor can combine the new camera design with its ARRI partnership and better AI features, the Magic 9 could become one of the more interesting flagship launches of the second half of the year.
