Google is bringing Gemini 3.7 Flash, its latest AI model, to Google Search. It is rolling out today globally in AI Mode for Google AI Pro & Ultra susbcribers in English.
More details. Gemini 3.7 Flash was announced yesterday as Google’s “most intelligent workhorse model yet for coding and agents.” But there was no mention of it being used in Google Search. So I asked Google and today, Robby Stein of Google announced on X:
- “We’re bringing Gemini 3.7 Flash to Search!”
He added:
- “Rolling out today globally in AI Mode for Google AI Pro & Ultra subs in English.”
What does it do? Gemini 3.7 makes AI Mode better at “following instructions” and “understanding your intent.” Robby Stein said this helps “you get even more helpful responses,” from AI Mode.
How do you access it. To access Gemini 3.7, if you are a paid subscriber, Click the ‘+’ icon to select the model within AI Mode:

Why we care. Google will likely roll this mode out to all searchers, even free plans, in the coming weeks or months. The models continue to improve and get better, which should make Google Search and AI Mode better over time.
