Car sales in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase in July 2026, rising by 141.28% year-on-year as demand for new vehicles showed strong recovery.
According to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), local automakers sold 17,216 vehicles in July 2026, compared with 7,135 units sold during the same month last year.
The latest figures represent an increase of 10,081 vehicles compared with July 2025, with monthly sales more than doubling year-on-year.
The strong growth indicates improved activity in Pakistan’s automobile market, with demand for locally manufactured vehicles showing significant recovery.
Electric vehicle sales also increased during the month, reflecting growing consumer interest in electric mobility and alternative vehicle technologies.
The recovery comes as the automobile sector continues to regain momentum, with increased market activity supporting demand for new vehicles.
Industry data suggests that the improvement in sales could provide further support to manufacturers, dealerships and related businesses across Pakistan’s automotive sector.
