A few days ago, a reference to the Samsung Galaxy Buds On popped up online – buds with an ear-hook design, along with some illustrations showing what they would look like. Now, the same source shows off a potential Sony WH-1000XM6 and Apple AirPods Max 2 rival.

Yes, Samsung is likely planning a return to the high-end over-ear headphones market after a long pause. The company released its Level Over headphones back in 2014 with 50mm dynamic drivers, ANC, touch controls and a premium build, so we have every reason to believe that the new headphones will be in the flagship category as well.
In addition to the images, a reference in the Galaxy Wearable app also shows Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, SSC UHQ codec support and active noise cancellation. For now, the headphones are codenamed Galaxy H1, but the actual marketing name remains unknown.
According to SamMobile, the pair will be released sometime in 2027, so we are yet to see an influx of leaks in the coming months.
