Google Search Console data recovering after logging issue

Yesterday, we covered the drop in Google Search Console’s performance report, which John Mueller confirmed was due to a logging issue. Now, checking Search Console account, the data appears to be trending upward again suggesting the issue may be resolving.

Here is a screenshot showing the graphs climbing back up.

Glenn Gabe also posted on X about seeing upticks across sites.

He wrote: “It looks like data is already populating in the Gen AI reporting and performance reporting after the data logging issue that was confirmed yesterday. I’m seeing upticks across sites. Keep an eye on your reporting.”

This lines up with what Google said yesterday — that this was purely a logging issue on their end, not an actual drop in search visibility or traffic. With data now starting to populate again, it looks like Google is working through the backlog and correcting the numbers.
