Google has fixed two bugs this weekend related to Google Search. The first is the bug with many favicons not showing up in the Google Search result snippets. The second is the bug with two days of data missing from the Google Search Console crawl stats report.
Both these issues seem mostly, if not, fully resolved.
Favicon Bug
The favicon issue started about a week ago, where Google stopped showing the favicons for many sites in its search results. Google instead showed the default globe icon as the site’s favicon instead of the site’s defined favicon.

Rajan Patel from Google said on Saturday, August 22 at 11 am ET, “Not fixed yet, but should be in the next 12 hours or so.” So by now, it should be fixed, if not mostly fixed.
Crawl Stats Bug
The crawl stats bug started around August 14th or 15th and we saw a two day gap in those days being missed. That bug was fixed a few hours ago, on Sunday, August 23rd at around 5 pm ET.
