Who are the competitors anyway?
iPhone Ultra (Fold)
The first and most expected winner of this foldable fight is the iPhone Ultra. As iPhone’s first foldable, the hype for it is not unexpected in the least. The price is rumored to be somewhere around $1,999, but what exactly do you get for this price? Well, a better question would be what you don’t get. That’s right, the iPhone Ultra might not even include Face ID and telephoto zoom, just to keep the design slim. Not a good trade in my opinion, but others might think differently.

Xiaomi’s next foldable

Huawei Mate XT 2
Huawei, unlike the other two competitors, went in a totally different direction. Why? That is because the Mate XT 2 will be a tri-fold, same as the Mate XT before it, unveiling an almost tablet-like screen. This is reportedly Huawei’s direct answer to Apple’s foldable push, with leaks pointing to a stronger focus on durability this time around, including improved hinge engineering and tougher screen materials.

What is the takeaway?
Well, who knows? We don’t even have a confirmed name for the iPhone and Xiaomi foldables, so it would be way too early to make assumptions no?
