Oppo Find X10 Has a New Screen Feature Your Eyes May Actually Appreciate


Oppo is getting ready to launch the Find X10 series, and we now know more about the screens it will use. The phones will feature Tianma’s new Tiangong Screen 2.0, an OLED panel built to cut harmful blue light while keeping colors accurate. It can also drop all the way down to 0.01 nits, which could make late-night phone use a lot more comfortable.

I spend enough time looking at phone screens every day to appreciate an upgrade like this.

Less blue light without ruining the colors

Tianma showed its new display tech at an OLED event in Xiamen. The big change is not resolution or refresh rate. Instead, the company has changed the materials that create the red, green and blue light.

For blue, Tianma uses a new NFB fluorescent blue technology. The company says it improves light efficiency by 16% while also making the material last 33% longer. More importantly, harmful blue light now makes up just 3.7% of the screen’s spectrum.

That sounds good, but reducing blue light can sometimes give a screen an ugly yellow tint. Tianma is trying to avoid that.

The green part gets new PSF tech, which improves light efficiency by 11% and expands the green color range by 6.7%. There is also new deep-red tech, with light in the 650nm to 670nm range making up 5.5% of the output.

The Find X10 can go down to 0.01 nits

The part I find more useful is what happens when you turn the brightness down. The Tiangong Screen 2.0 can reach just 0.01 nits. Tianma uses an AI De-Mura system to keep the panel even at such low levels, and it claims a 30% gain in low-brightness uniformity.

If you have ever used an OLED phone in a dark room, you probably know why this matters. Some displays look uneven or lose color quality when brightness gets very low. Oppo already pushed this idea with the Find X9 series, which could drop to 1 nit. Going from 1 nit to 0.01 is a much bigger step.

Color quality shouldn’t suffer either. Tianma claims 95% native BT.2020 coverage and a Delta E below 0.6. The panel should also last 30% longer than the previous version.

We still don’t know the full screen specs

Oppo hasn’t confirmed the screen sizes, resolution, refresh rate or peak brightness yet. Earlier reports point to several models in the Find X10 family, with different panel sizes and specs. The series is expected to launch in China in September, so we shouldn’t have to wait long for the missing details.

To be honest, I like this direction. Smartphone displays are already sharp, bright and fast enough for most people. Making them more comfortable to use at night feels much more useful than chasing another brightness record.

If the Find X10 can really reach 0.01 nits without making colors look terrible, that’s a screen upgrade I can actually see myself using every day.
