ProXDR goes beyond the camera sensor
OPPO says ProXDR covers the whole process, starting with light capture and ending with image processing and display. One of the main parts of the system is DeepPix, a new sensor technology designed to increase dynamic range.
According to OPPO, the technology can deliver up to 17EV of dynamic range in a single frame. In simple terms, that will make it easier to keep detail in areas that are very bright while keeping information in darker parts of the same photo.
The company is also focusing on video. ProXDR is designed to support full-resolution 4K HDR recording while using less power and having more consistent performance.
The Find X10 Pro Max details are still unconfirmed
The weirder claims about the Find X10 Pro Max come from leaks, not OPPO itself. Digital Chat Station has reported that the phone could feature three 200MP cameras, with Ice Universe also backing up the possibility.
The main camera is expected to use Samsung’s new ISOCELL HPC sensor. That is also the sensor that DeepPix is built around.
The ultrawide camera could be even more interesting. A 200MP ultrawide sensor would be a first, thats right! A FIRST in the smartphone market. OPPO’s Find X9 Ultra and the vivo X300 Ultra have already used two 200MP cameras in the same phone, but neither has added a third.
There are still some questions about performance
A triple-200MP setup would mean a huge amount of image data, and that wouldnt be the best for the processor. The Find X10 Pro Max is rumored to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, and it will have to handle that workload really fast if OPPO wants to avoid delays between shots. I mean, who would want that?
On paper, the setup sounds cool and impressive. The more important question is how well it performs when someone actually uses the phone tho. Processing three high-resolution camera feeds at once could affect everything from shutter speed to heat and battery consumption.
We dont have the details yet so we’ll have to wait for testing to see if the hardware can deliver the performance suggested by the specifications.
Launch window
OPPO hasn’t told us nor confirmed an exact launch date for the Find X10 series yet. Current reports point to a launch in China sometime autumn, with the Find X10 Pro Max expected to be part of that.
