Google Search experienced an indexing issue on August 28. Barry Schwartz reported this on Search Engine Roundtable, wrote: “Google Search Having Indexing/Serving Issues August 28th.”
He shared several screenshots and pointed to examples from major news sites like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, and others. Barry noted that these sites publish new content daily, but when he cross-checked on the SERP, no recent content was showing up for them.
He shared the screenshots and wrote:
” I set a site command for these sites and set it to show only content from the past hour. Typically, you would see many pages show upBarry also cross-checked the URL Inspection tool and wrote:”
Here are the screenshots he shared.

Barry also cross-checked the URL Inspection tool and wrote:
“It might be more of a serving issue because Google Search Console’s URL inspection tool shows a page I posted in the past 30 minutes was indexed:”
