Google Business Profile has a new feature: users can now flag business owner replies to reviews. This is a helpful addition from a customer’s perspective, giving users a way to report inappropriate or problematic responses.
This was spotted on Reddit, in r/GoogleMyBusiness, where they wrote: “Users can now flag business owner replies,” along with a shared screenshot.
BubblesUp, a Google Business Product Expert and Consultant, replied to the thread, wrote:
“This has been around for at least a couple of months now. And yes, it’s very helpful especially when responses contain the reviewer’s PII.”
This feature gives users a way to flag owner replies that may contain personally identifiable information (PII) or other inappropriate content, adding another layer of moderation to the review response process.
