Govee used IFA 2026 in Berlin to introduce a new wave of AI-powered smart lighting products, positioning artificial intelligence as the next step in making connected lighting easier to use and more tailored to everyday routines.
The smart lighting brand announced several new products, including the Govee Sky Ceiling Light, Govee COB Strip Light 2 Pro, Govee COB Strip Light 2, and Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro. The broader pitch is simple: less fiddling with settings, more lighting that understands what people actually want. In other words, fewer app gymnastics, more useful glow.
Govee Expands Its AI Lighting Push
At the center of the announcement is Govee AI Lighting, the company’s platform for creating personalized lighting through text, voice, and image inputs. Govee said it was the first smart lighting brand to introduce multi-turn conversations into AI-powered lighting, allowing users to describe and refine scenes through natural dialogue rather than manual controls alone.
According to Govee, those AI features now extend across indoor and outdoor lighting scenarios, with AI-powered group control planned for the future to help users synchronize multiple products more easily.
Eric Wu, CEO of Govee, said AI marks the next evolution of lighting by making it more adaptive to routines, emotions, and daily needs.
Govee Sky Ceiling Light Targets Wellness and Everyday Use

Leading the lineup is the Govee Sky Ceiling Light, which the company calls the industry’s first AI-powered mood-responsive ceiling light. It is designed as a main room light for daily use, with a focus on wellness and comfort.
The fixture uses Govee’s AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to generate lighting based on a user’s mood and needs. When users want a more energizing environment, the system can prioritize Govee’s 478nm sky-blue spectrum, which the company says is tuned to support alertness and natural rhythm.
On the hardware side, the Sky Ceiling Light supports a 1,000K to 10,000K color temperature range, delivers up to 7,000 lumens of white light output, and carries a CRI of 95 for accurate color rendering. It also includes TÜV Rheinland low-glare certification, an RG0 rating for no blue light hazard, flicker-free performance, DaySync automatic adjustment based on time and weather, and Matter support for smart home integration.
COB Strip Lights Put AI Creativity Front and Center

Govee also introduced the COB Strip Light 2 Pro, a flagship smart LED strip aimed at users who want ambient lighting for gaming, movie nights, parties, reading, and general living spaces. COB, or chip-on-board, lighting is typically used to create smoother, more continuous light output with fewer visible hotspots, which helps these strips blend more naturally into a room.
The COB Strip Light 2 Pro uses AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to turn voice or text prompts into custom scenes. Govee says the strip includes 1,344 LEDs and 16 ICs per meter, plus a triple-layer groove design for smooth single-color and multi-color effects. Other specs include RGBWWIC technology, the company’s LuminBlend+ color engine, a 1,000K to 10,000K color temperature range, and a CRI of 92.
Alongside it, Govee announced the COB Strip Light 2, a more accessible version that still brings spot-free illumination and AI-powered lighting features to a wider audience.
Outdoor Lighting Gets a Dual-Layer Upgrade

For outdoor spaces, Govee unveiled the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro. The standout feature is what Govee describes as an industry-first dual-layer illumination design, with two independently controlled IC chips in each light head. That allows upper and lower lighting zones to display different colors and effects at the same time, giving users more flexibility for seasonal decor, parties, or year-round exterior ambiance.
The system also uses Govee’s LuminBlend+ Color Management System for more precise color reproduction and smoother transitions.
