Hyundai India is reportedly gearing up to unveil a new nameplate: Hyundai Bayon. Ahead of the expected festive debut, fresh spy shots have given us our first look at the purported crossover’s cabin. If these images are anything to go by, the Bayon could possibly sport a more tech-loaded cabin than Hyundai’s own top-selling Creta.

Hyundai Bayon: What’s Actually Different Inside
Like usual, the car is heavily camouflaged in spy shots, including the interiors. However, the latest spy shot shows someone sitting in the front seat, driving the car, with one hand on the Venue-style steering (with the ‘H’ in Morse code), and a glimpse of what looks like a curved dual-screen setup.
From what it looks like, the dual-screen setup mirrors the top-spec Venue’s 12.3-inch displays. What’s even more interesting is that even the latest-generation Creta doesn’t have such a setup. It tops out at dual 10.25-inch screens and still needs a dedicated USB dongle for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

I’d also expect Hyundai to fix that native wireless connectivity gap. Door liners in the same black-and-white finish and circular interior door handles round out what’s visible so far.

Hyundai Design: Everything Else We Know
On the outside, expect Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language, the one we’ve seen on the latest Elantra and Tucson globally. It could bring T-shaped light bars, squared wheel-arch cladding, and sharper body creases, giving the Bayon a muscular, sporty look.
Under the bonnet, the Bayon is expected to share the Creta’s 115hp 1.5-liter NA petrol engine with 6-speed manual and CVT options. However, it could also offer a CNG variant. If that happens, this would be the first Hyundai over four meters long to offer factory-fitted CNG.
For now, the presence of a 1.5L diesel engine paired with a six-speed transmission remains contested, though it would be a huge miss if the company doesn’t make the Bayon available with a diesel powertrain.

While reports remain divided about the Bayon’s launch price, I can offer an educated guess. Given that the crossover is supposed to sit between the Venue (starting at ₹7.99 lakhs) and the Creta (starting at ₹10.90 lakhs), the Bayon’s entry-level trim could cost around ₹9 lakhs at launch, giving Hyundai an advantage over other automakers in the country.
