I made an iTunes backup from my iPhone11. As a replacement a received a brand new iphone 13 which I want to have the iphone11 itunes backup.
When I connected the first time, I got a screen in iTunes asking me which backup I wanted to restore. I chose the correct one but received an error that the software on my new iPhone13 was to old.
Now I have update the iphone13 to the latest ios18 version but no matter how I try, I now do not get the option to restore the iphone11 backup to my new iPhone13.
iTunes keeps on displaying the ‘restore backup’ grayed out. With the message: there has never been a backup of this iphone’.
Because of limited disk space I have set symlinks for the apple backup directory to my external usb hdd where the backup has been stored.
I need help getting my iphone 11 backup on my iphone13. How can I achieve this?
