Bitcoin ETF Inflows Hit 1 Million as BTC Reclaims ,000

U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $730.9 million in net inflows on Thursday, marking their strongest single-day inflow since January as Bitcoin reclaimed the $80,000 level.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the inflows with $454 million, accounting for around 62% of total daily ETF inflows. ARK Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB followed with $137.7 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC attracted $74.4 million.

VanEck’s HODL and WisdomTree’s BTCW were the only funds to record outflows, losing $19.6 million and $5.2 million, respectively.

The latest inflows represent the biggest daily haul for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs since January 14, when the funds attracted $843.6 million.

Bitcoin returned above $80,000 after trading between approximately $76,000 and $81,000 during the week. However, CryptoQuant warned that the rally may still lack strong fresh demand.

According to the analytics firm, recent Bitcoin gains were driven largely by traders closing short positions rather than opening new long positions.

CryptoQuant also highlighted significant profit-taking, noting that Bitcoin holders realized around 23,000 BTC in net profits on August 21, while approximately 110,000 BTC in total profits were realized since August 19.

CryptoQuant identified Bitcoin’s 365-day moving average, around $82,300, as an important market threshold.

The firm said a decisive close above $83,000 could confirm the beginning of a new bull market. However, rejection around this level could expose Bitcoin to a deeper correction toward its 200-day moving average near $69,000.

The strong ETF inflows provide renewed institutional buying support, but Bitcoin’s ability to attract fresh demand and break above key resistance levels will remain crucial for sustaining the latest rally.
