On a short trip to Bern in Switzerland I exposed two rolls of still available color negative film as well as a roll of expired high ISO slide film. Let me take you on a stroll through this beautiful city!
During day time I started with a Fujicolor 200 Color-Negative film which I expected to yield reasonably neutral colors and that was indeed the case.
One of the bridges to the city – a main attraction – was sadly under construction.
After the Fujicolor 200 I chose a Kodak Pro Image 100 which I already liked when developed in the common C-41 process.
There is a lot of well preserved historic architecture to be found in Bern. There are many cellar stores and bars which are rather unique to this town.
We also caught a small street market with local grocery offerings.
Of course there were also some motives to be found for my collections of bikes and fire hydrants.
Towards the evening I loaded a roll of rare Provia 400x, an ISO 400 slide film which long went out of production.
I first went to some interesting artsy district just out of town where you could still find DVD players.
Then afterwards I was shooting in the dark with the Provia 400x – and this was probably the last chance I got to do this with a slide film.
Bern is definitely worth a visit, highly recommended for a few days.
