Session 1: Building out metro, long haul and subsea networks with 200+Gbaud coherent connections

The demands for AI scale across and DCI network connections require coherent technology with ever higher symbol rates, enabling higher data rates over longer distances. The introduction of 130-140GBd coherent solutions enabled the widespread deployment of 800G connections and links over 1,000km. The first 1.6T coherent systems are now being deployed with 200GBd symbol rates.

New 200GBd+ DSPs are being introduced to support 1.6T coherent pluggables and longer distance 1.6T, and higher bandwidth, coherent connections.

This session will explore the latest developments for 200GBd+ coherent connections across AI data centers and carrier networks.

Session 2: Managing Coherent Optics in IP over DWDM

For communications service providers (CSPs) the capex and opex savings benefits of IP over DWDM (IPoDWDM) architectures are too compelling to ignore, but while hypescalers have experienced massive IPoDWDM adoption, CSPs are proceeding much more cautiously. Omdia surveys repeatedly show that, for CSPs, management complexity is among the chief barrier to adopting IPoDWDM – despite its benefits. This session takes an in-depth look at IPoDWDM for CSPs, with a focus on addressing IPoDWDM management and control in complex, multi-vendor networks.
