Kerry Wan/ZDNETNew iPhones have finally arrived: On Tuesday at an event in Cupertino, Apple revealed three new phones: The iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the highly anticipated foldable iPhone Duo.
If you want one of the new phones and have been thinking about switching ot Verizon, now is a great time to do it: When you sign up for a new smartphone line on a Simplicity Plan with Simplicity Pro, you can get the iPhone 18 Pro (once preorders start Saturday) for $80 a month all-in — no trade-in needed. Or, trade in your old device on any myPlan and get up to $1,200 off a new phone, paid through bill credits — basically getting you a new phone on Verizon.
iPhone 18 Pro deals at Verizon
The iPhone Duo will be available to preorder from Verizon on Oct. 16, and will ship on Oct. 23. (Note that the Duo offers are not yet finalized, but will be announced in October, according to a Verizon representative.) The iPhone 18 Pro will be available to preorder on Sept. 12, and will ship on Sept. 18.

If you switch to Verizon, you can get the iPhone 18 Pro for $80 a month on the Simplicity Pro plan (breaking down to a $30 unlimited plan and $50 device payment), with the option to upgrade your phone to the latest version every year. If you join the free Verizon Loyalty program, you won’t have any activation or upgrade fees.
If you’re already a Verizon customer and have an eligible phone to trade in, you can get up to $1,200 off a new line, or up to $1,020 off an existing line — essentially getting you the iPhone 18 Pro on Verizon. You’ll get paid out for the phone over bill credits for 36 months.
For the Duo, if you enroll in Verizon’s Loyalty program for free, you won’t have to pay any activation or upgrade fees. But again, those preorders and official deal offers don’t start until October.

Even with the caveats, if you’re looking to upgrade and don’t want to pay the full price of the phone, this is a great way to do it.
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable phone, about the size of a passport when folded and expanding out to a large 7.6-inch screen with a barely-perceptible crease. The iPhone 18 Pro includes Apple’s largest battery to date, and several new camera upgrades and AI integrations.

Correction, Sept. 10: This story initially incorrectly stated that Verizon was offering a free iPhone Duo deal, but the Duo deal specifics are not yet live.
How I rated this deal
If you’re eyeing an upgrade to a new iPhone, carrier promos are one of the best ways to do it. As long as you’re planning to stay with Verizon as long as needed to obtain the savings, this is a deal worth taking advantage of to get the new phones for far less than the sticker price. Of course, typical carrier deal caveats apply, so I gave it a 4/5 editor’s deal rating. It’s still an easy way to get a newer phone for less.
