Google AI Mode continues testing new ways to keep users engaged. Following the recent table-style follow-up method we covered, we spotted another new approach that seems designed to encourage users to stay within AI Mode rather than switching to another tab.
I’ve seen similar methods before, where clicking a suggested box would generate a new query within AI Mode. This test looks different, though as shown in the screenshot, Google now asks the user directly what they want before generating the new query.

Showing this type of question at the end of results, along with more follow-up options, could help clarify what the user is actually searching for while also keeping them engaged within AI Mode. This could be genuinely useful for users, though it also fits into Google’s broader pattern of nudging users toward AI Mode over traditional search.
