EuroUSC-Benelux Becomes Unifly Compliance, Strengthening Independent Drone Compliance and Safety Services – sUAS News

Unifly today announced that EuroUSC-Benelux has become Unifly Compliance, marking the next step following its acquisition by Unifly in March 2026. Under its new name, the organisation will continue to provide specialised, independent compliance and safety management services to drone operators across the Benelux and Europe.

Led by Michael Maes, Unifly Compliance focuses particularly on organisations with complex operational structures and holders of a Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) that require independent expertise to establish, maintain and demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations. By continuously monitoring developments at EASA and national aviation authorities, the organisation helps customers remain aligned with evolving European and national requirements.

“As drone operations scale, organisations need to demonstrate compliance not only when obtaining an authorisation or certification, but throughout their operations. Our role is to provide the independent expertise, and continuous oversight operators need to maintain robust compliance and safety management processes as their activities evolve.”Michael Maes, Director of Unifly Compliance.

Independence, objectivity and confidentiality are central to Unifly Compliance’s approach. Its compliance, audit and assessment activities are conducted independently from Unifly’s technology, consulting and commercial activities. Client information is handled in strict confidence and shared with third parties only where authorised or required, helping ensure objective and trusted oversight.

Unifly Compliance provides ongoing compliance and safety management support, including compliance manager services for LUC holders, as well as independent audits to assess compliance, identify potential gaps and prepare organisations for inspections by competent authorities. Compliant to Art.69 of the New Basic Regulation (Qualified Entity), it also provides examination and assessment services.

Services can be provided on an ongoing basis, in preparation for operational authorisations or LUC certification, or through targeted audits and assessments. This flexible approach enables both established drone operators and developing organisations to access support tailored to their operational and regulatory needs.
