What is the best iPhone 18 case?

Our pick for the best iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max case is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag Fit case, thanks to its excellent value for money. Read on for the rest of our top picks, including the best silicone, rugged, and kickstand options. We’ll continue to update this list as more cases become available and we get to test them ourselves.

The best iPhone 18 cases of 2026

Best iPhone 18 case overall

Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag Fit case

Spigen’s iPhone 18 cases are reliable and affordable, starting at just $16 for the popular Ultra Hybrid Mag Fit case. These cases are also extremely well-reviewed on Amazon, with 4.6/5 stars and over 330,000 reviews. The camera control button is covered and protected but still functional, and it features military-grade drop protection (though the company doesn’t specify from how high). These cases also use blue resin for anti-yellowing clarity, the company says.

If you’re looking for a solid, low-cost case, this is a good option. It comes in several colors, including clear.

Spigen Ultra Hubrid Mag Fit case features: MagSafe compatible | Lower cost | Camera button protection | Anti-yellowing resin

Best silicone iPhone 18 case (and most stylish options)

Casetify Cloud case

If you’re looking for the most pattern, color, and customization options for your iPhone 18 or iPhone Duo case, Casetify is where you want to go. They’ve sold over 19 million Impact cases wordwide, according to the company, and often run buy one, get one sales when you order directly through their site. These cases are on the pricier side, but have a more premium feel, and come highly recommended by ZDNET deals and shopping editor Kayla Solino. They are also MagSafe compatible, and offer 8.2-foot drop protection.

I went hands-on with the Ripple Case, which is made of premium silicone and has a nice, grippy feel, and the Cloud Case (pictured), which has a soft, pillowy silicone texture, and I would recommend either.

Casetify Cloud case features: MagSafe compatible | Drop protection | Tons of pattern and color options

Best iPhone 18 case with wallet

Smartish Wallet Slayer Vol. 1

We’ve been fans of Smartish cases for years, thanks to their combination of slim style and trendy designs with strong protection and an affordable price, at around $20. The Wallet Slayer in particular provides lightweight, slightly grippy protection — and, importantly, a built-in wallet that securely holds up to four cards and cash. It comes in several fun colors and patterns, and has been drop-tested from six feet. However, it’s not MagSafe compatible. (But we would also recommend Smartish’s other cases, like the Gripmunk, if you’re looking for that option.)

Smartish Wallet Slayer Vol. 1 features: Drop protection | Built-in wallet | Several color options

Best iPhone 18 case with kickstand

Torras Ostand Q3 Rugged case

The Torras Ostand case claims to be “rugged without the bulk,” and has been tested to withstand drops of up to 25 feet, according ot the company. It also features a 360-degree rotating kickstand and a unique textured edge for better grip. Plastic bumpers around the case corners are protective but still fairly low-profile. A soft microfiber lining helps prevent scratches and wear. This case feels a bit more premium than others, which explains its higher price point. (If you’re looking for a more minimalist kickstand option, consider the Casekoo below.)

Torras Ostand Q3 Rugged case features: Rotating kickstand | MagSafe compatible | More protective design

Best rugged iPhone 18 case

Supcase UB Grip case

If you’re looking for a case that can handle outdoor adventures or larger drops, consider the Supcase UB Grip case. This MagSafe-compatible case includes a kickstand, a button to protect the camera, and military-grade drop protection up to 15 feet. It also features an anti-slip grip and textured sides to prevent accidental drops.

The extra protection is still pretty affordable, starting around $40. ZDNET deals and shopping editor Kayla Solino has tested other Supcase accessories, and vouches for the brand’s rugged design and strong price point. The case comes in four colors, and is compatible with every iPhone 18 model.

Supcase UB Grip case features: MagSafe compatible | 15-foot drop protection | Kickstand | Rugged design

Best woven iPhone 18 case

Apple TechWoven case

Apple’s TechWoven case has seen major upgrades over past versions. Last year, ZDNET’s former editor-in-chief Jason Hiner went hands-on with this case at Apple’s iPhone event, and said that it “feels grippy on the sides and very sturdy,” and unlikely to scuff. The MagSafe-compatible case is made from a technical woven fabric, made from 100% recycled polyester. You can also add a crossbody strap if you like.

Apple TechWoven case features: MagSafe compatible | Grippy, durable design | Made from 100% recycled material

Best clear iPhone 18 case

Casekoo Standkoo

The Casekoo Standkoo offers lightweight protection and what I would call slight grippiness (it’s not slippery, but it’s also not the most grippy), but the real star here is the 360-degree rotating stand, which can act as a stand in any direction or a ring holder, and offers MagSafe charging, too. This case comes in multiple colors, including clear and metallic options.

Casekoo Standkoo features: Military-grade drop protection | MagSafe compatible | Rotating kickstand

Best design options for iPhone 18

Burga Velvet Caviar case

Burga is another higher-end case brand that specializes in beautiful, unique designs. The Velvet Caviar case offers a velvet-textured interior that feels luxurious, while still offering 16-foot drop protection. It is on the less grippy side, however.

Burga Velvet Caviar features: MagSafe compatible | 16-foot drop protection | Tons of great designs

Best budget silicone iPhone 18 case

Ornarto Liquid Silicone case

I’ve been using this Ornarto case for years, switching between a few different iPhone models. I love how slim, smooth, and grippy it is, as it’s made of silicone. It also comes in lots of nice colors. It’s also super affordable, with all colors coming in under $20. I had to replace one once, when a thinner piece near the camera control button started to fray, but at the price, I didn’t mind. It’s also MagSafe compatible, and has successfully protected my phones from drops and scuffs.

Ornarto Liquide Silicone Case features: Grippy feel | MagSafe compatible | Low price

Best minimalist iPhone 18 case

Mous Limitless case

We’ve long been fans of Mous cases for their thin, minimalist design, while still offering strong protection. The Limitless case is the brand’s most rugged while remaining light and thin, offering grippy ridged edges and scratch-resistant material. It is on the pricier side, however.

Mous Limitless case features: Extremely light and thin | MagSafe compatible | Military-grade drop protection | Several color and material options

What is the best iPhone 18 and iPhone Duo case?

The best iPhone 18 or iPhone Duo case depends on your individual needs. Our top pick is the Ultra Hybrid Mag Fit case for the iPhone 18, and the Apple iPhone Duo case for the Duo.

Factors to consider when choosing the best iPhone 18 or iPhone Duo case

Our picks for the best iPhone 18 cases reflect different needs and features. We took the following factors into consideration when making our picks:

  • Size: Phone cases can add bulk to your device. If you’re looking for a sturdier case that offers lots of protection, you might not mind. But if you’re looking for something more sleek, you’ll want to consider the size.
  • Durability: No one wants to spend money on a phone case only to have it break after a few months, or not adequately protect your device. The best cases last for a long time while also surviving daily wear and drops. You should look for a case made from high-quality materials such as wood, polycarbonate, or silicone.
  • Style: Let’s face it, many of us want a pretty phone case to look at. We look at cases and determine if their style matches their performance and features. It’s OK if you’d rather have a stylish case over a protective one.
  • Price: Price is a very important factor when considering the right phone case for you. Many people do not want to spend more than $20 on a phone case, and we are aware of that. Therefore, we tried to balance affordability with performance.

How did we choose these iPhone 18 cases?

When considering the best iPhone 18 cases, we went hands-on with dozens of iPhone 18 cases from top brands to assess their quality and value. When we go hands-on with a phone case, we consider ease of setup, performance quality, functionality, and value for the price. We also took into account past testing we’ve done on cases and mobile accessories, researched options from trusted brands, got recommendations from ZDNET editors and writers, and scoured online reviews.

FAQs on iPhone 18 cases

What cases work for the iPhone 18 Pro?

Every major case manufacturer is offering options for the iPhone 18 line, including some of our favorites, like Spigen, Smartish, Casekoo, Torras, and more.

Will an iPhone 17 Pro case fit the iPhone 18 Pro?

Yes. This is a rare case in which the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max specs match those of the 18 Pro and Pro Max, respectively. Therefore, iPhone 17 Pro cases are compatible with iPhone 18 Pro models.

Do the iPhone 18 models need a case? Does the iPhone Duo need a case?

Ultimately, whether or not your iPhone needs a case is up to you. However, since these devices are quite expensive, we’d recommend investing in a case to protect them. (However, senior contributing editor Kerry Wan used his iPhone 17 Pro without a case for the past year, and it held up fairly well, but with some screen scratches — he still recommends using a case, too.)

When is the iPhone 18 line and iPhone Duo available?

You can now purchase the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max in stores or from your phone carrier. The iPhone Duo will be available for preorder on Oct. 16, and will arrive in stores on Oct. 23.

How much do the new iPhones cost?

The iPhone 18 line did get a price hike: The iPhone 18 Pro costs $1,199, and the Pro Max starts at $1,299. The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999. However, there are many trade-in offers, or a new Upgrade phone leasing program.
