No sooner had Samsung confirmed its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22, than the devices it is expected to showcase appeared in official-looking leaked renders.
Android Headlines has published a smorgasbord of images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch 2 Ultra and the wider Galaxy Z Fold 8. The latter is likely to be the main talking point given Samsung’s plan appears to be to get ahead of the forthcoming iPhone Fold/Ultra, said to be arriving in September.
The renders don’t tell us an awful lot beyond that look at the expected boxier 4:3 aspect ratio when opened to its 7.6-inch configuration – or “new shape, new joy” as Samsung is teasing in its pre-event marketing materials – and tablet-like 16:10, 5.5-inch outer display
The leak also shows off the expected colours, including Cream, Graphite and Lavender, while the report adds that a Pistachio variant will be available exclusively from Samsung.

The report mentions the handset will be 9.7mm when folded and 4.5mm thick when unfolded and will weigh in at around 200 grams. Android Headlines is also suggesting that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy will power the handset, while there’ll be 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 4,800mAh battery will do the heavy lifting.
There’s not a huge amount to tell about the other devices leaked in today’s render haul, because they all look very close to last year’s iterations. One thing to note is the rumoured super hi-spec Galaxy Z Fold Ultra could also arrive in a purple shade. Samsung will reveal all of the key details on July 22.
