Twitter’s ‘X Money’ Launches In US With Cashback And Apple Wallet Support

Following its initial invite-only beta phase, X (formerly Twitter) has officially launched X Money, its digital wallet service, across the United States, rolling out to Premium and Premium+ subscribers.

X Money integrates a deposit account, peer-to-peer (P2P) payments, and a Visa debit card directly within the X platform:

  • P2P Payments: Send, receive, or request funds instantly with no fees or transfer limits.
  • High-Yield APY: Premium+ subscribers earn up to 6% APY. Premium users can unlock this rate through direct-deposit requirements.
  • Cashback Rewards: Earn 3% cash back on eligible X Card purchases.
  • Sign-Up Bonus: New users may qualify for a $15 welcome deposit.

Card Options and Digital Wallet Integration

Every user automatically receives a virtual X Card that supports Apple Pay integration via Apple Wallet but also, users can have the option to request a physical metal debit card with a custom name and X username display options.

All deposit accounts are held by Cross River Bank, a Member FDIC institution. For more information about this new service, including all of its features, check out the official website at https://money.x.com.

Speaking about global availability, for now, we still have no official word on a release to other markets.
