ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is strengthening its position in the esports market with a new wave of gaming hardware and partnerships announced at Gamescom 2026.
The company introduced two new gaming mice—the ROG Gladius IV Ace and ROG Spatha X 65K—alongside new collaborations with esports organizations and professional gaming personalities.
ROG says the latest products were developed with input from competitive players, with the new lineup aimed at gamers who demand fast response times, customizable controls and dependable performance during intense sessions.
Gladius IV Ace Focuses on FPS Performance
The ROG Gladius IV Ace is designed primarily for competitive first-person shooter players. ASUS says the mouse was developed using sports-science research and feedback from esports professionals to create an ergonomic shape that can help reduce fatigue during extended gaming sessions.
The mouse weighs 56 grams in its standard configuration and uses a center-balanced design. Players can further adjust its weight using the included 3-, 5- and 7-gram weights, creating multiple configurations to suit different grips and play styles.
ASUS also individually tests each mouse to ensure consistent left- and right-click actuation.
High-Speed Wireless Connectivity
The Gladius IV Ace features ROG SpeedNova 8K Gen II wireless technology and an upgraded receiver designed to improve signal reliability.
Its receiver monitors the surrounding radio-frequency environment and provides real-time connection information. Active Dynamic Hopping can search for suitable wireless channels to reduce interference, while dual LEDs provide a quick visual indication of connection conditions.
The mouse can scan movement at up to 20,000 frames per second and supports an 8,000Hz polling rate. These specifications are intended to help competitive players respond quickly during rapid flicks, sweeping movements and precise aiming adjustments.
Dynamic TX Power Control is also included to strengthen wireless transmission when interference becomes a concern.
Travel-Ready Design for Competitive Players
ROG is offering the Gladius IV Ace in Black, Moonlight White, Lava Red and Aqua Blue. A dedicated carrying case is included for transporting the mouse and accessories to tournaments, LAN events, boot camps and practice sessions.
Players can configure various settings through ASUS’ browser-based Gear Link interface without installing dedicated software. This can be particularly useful on shared or tournament computers where installing additional applications may not be practical.
Spatha X 65K Packs in 12 Programmable Buttons
The ROG Spatha X 65K takes a different approach, targeting MMO players and users who need numerous commands readily available.
Its 12 programmable buttons allow gamers to assign abilities, macros and frequently used commands without repeatedly reaching for the keyboard.
The design could also appeal to professionals who want to speed up repetitive computer tasks. Programmable buttons can be assigned to shortcuts and multistep actions in applications such as video editors, spreadsheets and creative software.
Adjustable Weight and Replaceable Switches
The Spatha X 65K offers five weight-and-balance configurations using its modular weight system, allowing users to change the mouse’s feel according to their preferred grip and movement style.
Another notable feature is the ROG Push-Fit Switch Socket III, which makes replacing compatible mechanical switches easier and expands the mouse’s compatibility with third-party switch options.
The mouse ships with ROG Micro Switch II units rated for up to 100 million clicks and ROG Silent Micro Switches rated for up to 50 million clicks. The former provides a more pronounced click, while the latter is designed for quieter operation.
Three Connection Options and Wireless Charging
The Spatha X 65K supports three connectivity modes: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth and wired USB.
ROG SpeedNova wireless technology is designed to provide low-latency performance during gaming, while the included magnetic wireless charging dock offers a convenient way to recharge the mouse between sessions.
Like the Gladius IV Ace, the Spatha X 65K can be configured through the browser-based Gear Link platform.
ROG Adds GamerLegion and iiTzTimmy Partnerships
Alongside the new hardware, ROG announced an expanded esports partnership program.
The company has named GamerLegion an official peripherals sponsor, providing its players with ROG mice, keyboards, mouse pads and other competitive gaming equipment.
ROG has also partnered with Timothy “iiTzTimmy” An, a prominent FPS content creator and former professional Apex Legends player. The collaboration will involve product showcases, gaming content and community activities.
The partnership gives ROG another connection to the competitive FPS community while allowing iiTzTimmy to contribute his experience with high-level gaming hardware.
New ROG Ace Esports Social Channel
ROG is also increasing its focus on esports-focused communication with the launch of the ROG Ace Esports Instagram channel.
The new social platform will feature product announcements, tournament coverage, professional player perspectives, team collaborations and gaming setup content.
The initiative is designed to give competitive players and fans a central destination for news surrounding ROG’s esports activities.
Pricing and Availability
The ROG Gladius IV Ace and ROG Spatha X 65K are scheduled to launch in the United States at the end of September 2026.
Both gaming mice will be available through the ASUS eShop and Best Buy. Pricing was not included in the announcement.
