Korean deep-tech aerospace and defense company brings its full air-to-air drone interception portfolio to one of Europe’s largest defense exhibitions, targeting the region’s urgent counter-drone demand
Airbility, a South Korean deep-tech aerospace and defense company developing high-speed electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, is exhibiting its integrated counter-unmanned aircraft system (counter-UAS) lineup at MSPO 2026, held September 8–11 in Kielce, Poland. The exhibition marks the company’s European debut.
MSPO is one of Europe’s three largest defense exhibitions, alongside Eurosatory in France and DSEI in the United Kingdom, drawing some 800 companies and official delegations from more than 40 countries each year. Poland and its Eastern European neighbors have faced repeated drone incursions into their airspace since the war in Ukraine, making counter-drone capability an urgent procurement priority across the region.
At MSPO, Airbility is presenting its mission-tiered interceptor lineup for the first time in Europe: the AB-U2, a compact kinetic interceptor for close-in point defense; the AB-U4L, a launcher-deployed interceptor designed for rapid response against drone swarms; the AB-U10, a net-gun interceptor that captures hostile drones while minimizing collateral damage; and the AB-U60, a mothership platform that carries and deploys smaller interceptors. The aircraft operate together within a single kill chain, addressing the cost asymmetry of conventional air defense — in which low-cost attack drones are engaged with far more expensive missiles — through low-cost air-to-air interception.
The demonstration at MSPO presents a complete detect-to-defeat architecture. Airbility is exhibiting alongside Dymstec, a Korean counter-drone detection and jamming specialist, whose radar- and RF-based ARBITER system provides the detection and electronic-countermeasure layer that cues Airbility’s interceptors for physical neutralization.
The European debut follows a period of rapid momentum for the company. Earlier this month, Airbility announced the close of a USD 4.7 million Series A round led by Silicon Valley-based Sazze Partners, bringing total funding to USD 7.6 million. The proceeds will fund commercialization of the counter-UAS portfolio — with the AB-U10 targeted for commercialization by the end of 2026 and the AB-U2 and AB-U4L in the first half of 2027 — along with production infrastructure and global certification. In December 2025, two years after its founding, Airbility completed transition-flight demonstrations across three prototype aircraft, validating the flight-control logic and system integration behind its high-speed eVTOL platform. The company is currently in commercial discussions with counterparties in more than nine countries across the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
