Save up to $29: Apple only announced its new M6 Mac Mini a few days ago, but you can already save up to $29 off your new computer when you preorder at Amazon.
When Apple unveiled the newly upgraded Mac Mini, it also increased the price. The M6 model starts at $899 at the Apple Store, but Amazon will sell you the same Mac for just $880. Preorders are open now, with the M6 Mac Mini set to go on sale on Sept. 22.

Apple M6 Mac Mini
The entry-level Mac Mini comes with a new M6 chip with a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU. 16GB of unified memory is included as standard, as is a 256GB SSD for storage. Alternatively, the upgraded model with 512GB of storage is available for $1,070 when you preorder at Amazon — the same model is $1,099 from Apple.
Both models have Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, new to the Mac Mini lineup with the M6 model. The new model also has three Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI port. Another upgrade is the addition of a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port for fast wired networking. And all of this comes in the same compact design that has made the Mac Mini so popular with everyone from students to businesses running advanced AI workloads.
Sure, these discounts aren’t huge, but any money saved on a brand-new Apple product is a bonus — especially when that product hasn’t even been released yet.
Alternatives you might like
The Mac Mini stands alone as a small yet powerful, fully-fledged computer, especially with the brand-new M6 chip. But it doesn’t come with a display, and that can be an issue for some buyers. If that’s you, the iMac may be a better buy. The M4 iMac is available from $1,424 currently, with the blue and silver models available for less than the other colors. It has a 24-inch display built right in, and it comes with a keyboard and mouse to boot.
