Bing tests renaming Copilot results to AI Overview

Bing is testing a rename of its Copilot results section in search results to “AI Overview.” This is the first time we’ve seen this usually, this section appears labeled as “Copilot” along with its logo, but today, when searching on Bing, the results appeared under the “AI Overview” label instead.

This looks new, since we hadn’t come across “AI Overview” showing up in Bing results before.

Here is a screenshot showing how it looks with “AI Overview,” alongside how it normally looks with “Copilot.”

It’s a bit unusual to see Bing borrowing the exact same naming convention Google uses for its own AI-generated summaries, especially since “Copilot” has been Bing’s established branding for this feature. Whether this is a rebrand test or a simple mislabeling bug isn’t clear yet.

I assume this is new because I couldn’t see the AI Overview heading in Bing previously.
