BISE Lahore to Replace Paper Result Cards With QR-Verified Digital PDFs

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore will introduce a digital result card system for Matric and Intermediate students starting with the 2026 annual examinations, doing away with the traditional paper-based process for both regular and private candidates.

Under the new system, digital result cards will be issued in PDF format immediately after the announcement of results. Regular students will be able to download their cards through the online portals of their respective institutions, while private candidates will access theirs directly through the BISE Lahore website.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said the digital result cards will carry QR codes along with a full set of security features, giving them legal standing equal to that of original result cards.

He added that the documents will be valid for admissions, employment, scholarships, verification, and equivalence purposes, without any need for additional attestation.

The minister has directed all educational institutions to print the digital result cards on 100-gram coloured paper before issuing them to students. He further instructed that all institutions accept the digital result cards for official and academic purposes without objection or additional requirements.

The initiative is aimed at streamlining the results process, reducing paperwork, and preventing delays and forgeries associated with the conventional result card system.
