ChatGPT is testing a new ad display format within its results. we’ve been noticing more varied ad designs showing up in ChatGPT lately, and this latest one adds a descriptive heading directly above the ad itself.
Brodie Clark spotted this and shared it on the SERP Alerts page on X.
Brodie said: “ChatGPT is testing out a new ad display within its results, showing a descriptive heading that appears directly above the ad. This is something that Google’s AI Mode has had in its search results for some time now.”
As Brodie points out, this isn’t a new concept in the AI search space Google’s AI Mode has featured similar descriptive headings above ads for a while now. It looks like ChatGPT may be borrowing from a format that’s already been tested and refined elsewhere.
