Discover the Tapo RV50 Pro Omni: Smart Cleaning Revolution

TP-Link Systems Inc. has announced the Tapo RV50 Pro Omni, a new all-in-one robot vacuum and mop designed to bring more automated cleaning features into a more accessible price range.

The latest addition to the Tapo smart home lineup combines vacuuming, mopping, smart navigation, obstacle avoidance, and an automated docking system in one package. It is aimed at pet owners, busy households, and mixed-floor homes where dirt, hair, rugs, and hard flooring all compete for attention. In other words, homes where “just a quick clean” can turn into a side quest.

The Tapo RV50 Pro Omni is scheduled to launch on July 30 with an MSRP of $599.99. Ahead of that release, TP-Link is running a pre-sale through July 29, bringing the price down to $399.99 through Amazon and Tapo.com with promo code 200RV50.

Built for Vacuuming, Popping, and Fewer Chores

At the center of the RV50 Pro Omni is a 15,000Pa suction system paired with dual spinning mops. Tapo says the robot can run for up to 250 minutes, giving it enough endurance for longer cleaning sessions without frequent returns to the dock.

The robot uses dirt detection to identify messier areas and trigger more targeted cleaning. According to the provided product details, it can dispense detergent and re-clean dirtier zones when needed, giving it a more adaptive approach than a basic pass-and-go robot vacuum.

For homes with pets, the RV50 Pro Omni includes hair cutting technology at the base to help prevent tangles. Anyone who has ever flipped over a vacuum and performed emergency surgery with scissors will understand the appeal.

Omni Dock Handles Much of the Upkeep

The Tapo RV50 Pro Omni’s biggest convenience feature is its all-in-one Omni Dock. The dock handles automatic dust collection, mop washing, mop drying, detergent dispensing, and brush maintenance.

TP-Link says the system can keep upkeep to a minimum for up to two months, depending on use. The dock washes mop pads with 140°F water and dries them with 122°F warm air, helping reduce the manual maintenance that often comes with robot mop systems.

The product details also mention large clean and dirty water tanks, which are designed to support longer cleaning sessions with fewer interruptions.

Smarter Navigation for Mixed-Floor Homes

The RV50 Pro Omni is designed to handle homes with both hard floors and carpet. It can detect changes in flooring, lift its mop pads, and return to the dock before vacuuming carpeted areas. The one-pager also notes smart mop removal, which helps the robot deliver the right type of cleaning for each surface.

For navigation, the RV50 Pro Omni uses LiDAR mapping and dual-laser obstacle avoidance. It can remember up to four floors, making it better suited for multi-level homes than simpler robot vacuums that only map one space.

Tapo has also included DeepEdge mopping technology, which uses a robotic mop arm to reach closer to baseboards, edges, and corners. Those areas are easy to miss with round robot vacuums, mostly because geometry enjoys being difficult.

Pricing and Availability
