General Cherry AIR – sUAS News

General Cherry AIR

Since July 24, Romanian F-16s have been shooting down Shahed drones with $400,000 AIM-9X missiles. The drone itself costs about $35,000.

Even NATO’s own coverage admits it: that math doesn’t hold up for long.

That’s why we built AIR by General Cherry specifically for interception.
It doesn’t replace air defense, it handles the targets where firing a missile just isn’t worth it.

It takes off, catches the enemy drone in the air, and takes it down. Up to 35 minutes of flight time, 170 km/h, spots a target from 1,500 meters out.

It costs UAH39,900, around $900, against targets worth anywhere from $10,000 to $420,000.

One time it even took down a “Spider-Man” drone — there’s video from the Strazh unit of Azov.

That’s where the math of this war is actually being decided.

Not in a €400,000 missile but in who can catch up cheaper.
