Google Ads tests new Video Campaign Group feature

Google is testing a new “Video Campaign Group” option in Google Ads, currently in beta.

This was first spotted by Marcin Wsół, who posted about it on LinkedIn. His original post was in Polish.

Here’s the translated version:

“‘Google Ads is introducing a new “Video Campaign Group” option when creating campaign groups. Previously, only standard campaign groups were available.
The new group type is designed for Video and Demand Gen campaigns, and allows you to analyze aggregated campaign results, as well as better control of reach and frequency within your combined Video and Demand Gen campaigns.
The feature is currently available in beta and may not yet be visible in all Google Ads accounts.”

Here is the screenshot he shared.

This gives advertisers running both video and demand gen campaigns a more consolidated way to track performance and manage reach and frequency across those campaign types together, rather than viewing them separately.
