Google Health finally supports two-way health data syncing with Apple Health

When Google launched its new Fitbit Air devices, the company announced a somewhat surprising new feature that lets you import Apple Health data recorded by your Apple Watch and other HealthKit-connected apps and devices. A long-requested feature since 2014 when Apple Health first launched.

However, syncing your data the other way remained impossible until now. With the new version of Google Health for iOS (5.05), your Fitbit data can finally be stored in your Apple Health account. Two-way syncing is finally a thing.

Workout history, sleep, vitals, steps and all kinds of Fitbit data can now be synced to Apple Health and other HealthKit-compatible apps. You just have to grant all permissions required for syncing.

The version of Google Health is already available on the App Store for iOS.
