Google Search seems to be heating up this morning, I am seeing a huge spike in chatter in the past few hours and the tools may be starting to heat up as well. We will know more tomorrow but I am suspecting we are seeing the start of a Google update, hopefully one Google will confirm soon but I doubt it.
As you know, we saw some weirdness with the Google rankings between September 4 and September 12 and now, September 15th, we are seeing some big movements.
The chatter started up in the past few hours, so I don’t think all the tools are picking up on it yet but we will see.

Yes, today traffic is very bad
UK results are absolutely crazy since Saturday night. A lot of spam on page 1, and AI overviews often show irrelevant nonsense.
So Im seeing a new keyword set, many i used to rank for dropped and now new completely different pages ranking. So this is pretty big for me as that kind of change happens only on big updates.
And the rollercoaster goes on. Right at 4 PM yesterday, traffic dropped, and today Discover is low again. The chaos in my feed is also back. But the funniest thing I saw today: over 2-month-old news suddenly popped up in the Top Stories box for my niche. Oh well, at least the weekend went well for a change.
The exact same thing is happening to my shop. Yesterday at 4 PM on the dot, Google traffic brought no more conversions, and Google Ads suddenly stopped converting as well, despite a really good run before. It’s the exact same story today.
