Keychron is expanding its full-size keyboard lineup with the new V6 Ultra Hybrid, a keyboard designed to bring mechanical typing feel and magnetic-switch gaming performance together in a single customizable platform.
The company describes it as its first full-size keyboard to combine magnetic precision with mechanical switch tactility, giving users the flexibility to configure their setup for both productivity and gaming.
Hybrid Switch Design for Work and Gaming
The V6 Ultra Hybrid uses Keychron’s Nova Socket hybrid architecture, allowing the keyboard to accommodate both mechanical and magnetic switches. Mechanical switches provide the familiar tactile feedback and sound preferred by keyboard enthusiasts, while TMR-based magnetic switches are designed for faster response and adjustable actuation.
Keychron says its Ultra-Fast Magnetic Switches offer 0.1mm precision, while the keyboard also supports features such as Rapid Trigger for faster key resets during competitive gaming.
8K Polling and Triple-Mode Connectivity
Performance is another major focus of the V6 Ultra Hybrid. The keyboard supports an 8,000Hz polling rate over wired and 2.4GHz wireless connections, while Bluetooth 5.3 provides an additional wireless option.
Users can connect the keyboard through USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, or Bluetooth and pair it with up to three Bluetooth devices. This makes the V6 Ultra Hybrid suitable for switching between a gaming PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Customizable Typing Experience
Keychron has equipped the keyboard with a gasket-mounted structure and multiple layers of acoustic material to improve typing feel and sound. It also features double-shot OSA-profile PBT keycaps designed for durability and long-term use.
The keyboard can be customized through Keychron’s QMK-powered web launcher, where users can adjust magnetic actuation, configure Rapid Trigger, create macros, customize keymaps, and modify other input settings without installing traditional desktop software.

Availability
The V6 Ultra Hybrid is launching through Kickstarter, rather than entering regular retail sales immediately. Keychron opened a VIP reservation program that requires a $5 non-refundable deposit, giving reservation holders access to exclusive launch pricing, priority first-batch availability and a complimentary Keychron 2-in-1 Switch & Keycap Puller.
Keychron’s official campaign page says the Kickstarter launch date and fulfillment schedule remain subject to final confirmation.
Pricing
The V6 Ultra Hybrid’s final retail price has not been officially confirmed. Keychron is offering a $5 VIP reservation to secure exclusive Kickstarter launch pricing. The company says the final Kickstarter pricing structure will be announced when the campaign launches.
