Multan International Airport recorded its highest-ever single-day flight count on Wednesday, with 37 flights reported at the South Punjab hub.
According to the latest flight schedule data, of these, 18 flights landed at Multan Airport while 19 departed, marking a new benchmark for the city’s aviation activity.
The record at Multan came as part of a broader nationwide flight operation. Data covering the past 24 hours showed that 449 flights were operated across the country, while 68 flights were cancelled and 112 were delayed.
City-wise figures showed Karachi operated 135 flights, Lahore 105, Islamabad 118, Sialkot 15, Faisalabad 12, and Peshawar recorded both 10 and a further 17 flights during the period.
Regarding delays, Lahore and Islamabad each reported 33 delayed flights, the highest among all cities. Karachi recorded 9 delays, Faisalabad 9, Multan 8, Sialkot 8, Peshawar 6, and Quetta 6.
On cancellations, Lahore topped the list with 21 flights called off, followed by Karachi with 20 and Islamabad with 12. Quetta reported 6 cancelled flights, Multan 3, while Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Sialkot each recorded 2 cancellations.
The figures reflect a busy day for domestic aviation, with Multans record-setting performance standing out against the backdrop of delays and cancellations reported at major airports nationwide.
