OnePlus Pad 3 Pro Packs Flagship Power, but Most Buyers Can’t Get It

OnePlus has launched its most powerful tablet yet. The problem? Most people may never see it.
The new OnePlus Pad 3 Pro arrives with flagship hardware, a huge display, and Qualcomm’s latest top-tier processor. On paper, it looks like the kind of Android tablet enthusiasts have been asking for. Yet there’s one issue hanging over the launch.

Availability.

Summary

  • OnePlus Pad 3 Pro features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
  • The tablet offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
  • A 13.2-inch display supports refresh rates up to 144Hz.
  • The device includes a 13,380mAh battery with 67W charging.
  • Current availability appears limited to China.

A Tablet Built for Power Users

The specifications leave little room for complaint. At the center of the device sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, currently one of the most powerful mobile chips available. It’s paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and as much as 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

That’s laptop territory in some cases. The large 13.2-inch LCD panel also stands out. With a resolution of 3392 x 2400 and refresh rates reaching 144Hz, the display is clearly designed for both productivity and entertainment.

And – I must admit – OnePlus isn’t trying to hide that fact.

More Than Just Raw Performance

Many Android tablets still struggle to justify their size. OnePlus is attempting to solve that problem with software.

The Pad 3 Pro includes productivity tools such as desktop-style office applications, advanced file management, cross-device sharing, and keyboard integration. The company is also pushing AI features for note-taking, translation, and content creation.

Whether users actually rely on those AI tools is another matter. Still, the broader focus on productivity makes sense for a tablet this large.

The hardware helps too. An eight-speaker setup, stylus support, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and a battery exceeding 13,000mAh suggest this device is designed for long work sessions as much as media consumption.

The Catch Changes Everything

The biggest limitation isn’t performance. It’s geography. At launch, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro appears to be aimed exclusively at the Chinese market. Meanwhile, the globally branded OnePlus Pad 4 has only reached select regions, leaving many international buyers without access to either option.

That’s frustrating.

Because this may be one of the strongest Android tablets OnePlus has ever built.

For now, the Pad 3 Pro feels less like a global flagship and more like a reminder that some of the company’s best hardware still doesn’t reach every market. Until that changes, many potential buyers will be left looking from the sidelines.
