A couple of days ago, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K100 Pro and Pro Max in China, offering a set of excellent specifications and the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 V, a cheaper and more affordable version of the cost-effective flagship CPU. We have been speculating that both phones would arrive as the POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra, and this seems to be confirmed through a new leak.

Today, leaked renders emerged confirming the design of both phones and the color options available. Moreover, we have the complete spec sheet for both smartphones. The POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra will be great additions to POCO’s portfolio.

POCO F9 Pro

POCO F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Leaked Specifications

As per the leaks, the POCO F9 Pro will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC at the helm. We believe it could be the “V” variant. The phone will be available in options with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of Storage.

The device flaunts a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 2,510 x 1,156 pixels resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and a bright display with 4,500-nit peak brightness. In terms of optics, the phone has a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2.5X optical zoom, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 32MP selfie shooter.

The F9 Pro has the same chipset, but rest assured this is the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. We expect the same RAM/Storage options. The phone has a larger 6.9-inch screen with a 2,608 x 1,200 pixel resolution, the same 185Hz refresh rate, and brightness. The phone has a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide snapper.

Both phones come with Gorilla Glass 7i on their screens, metal frames, and a fiberglass-reinforced plastic back. Both devices feature Bose speakers, and the Ultra has an LED ring for notifications. They also feature IP69 certification for dust and water protection.

Smaller Batteries, Same Charging Speed

According to leaked information, the POCO F9 Pro will feature a 6,330mAh battery, which is a significant downgrade from the 8,580mAh battery in the Redmi K100 Pro. However, this is still a large battery for most users.

The POCO F9 Ultra will also get a downgrade; it comes with an 8,050mAh battery, which is 1,020mAh less than the Redmi K100 Pro Max. Both phones will charge at 100W.

POCO is yet to disclose details about the POCO F9 series. Considering the amount of information available, we believe this launch shouldn’t take much long.
