Technology manufacturer Rollme has officially introduced the Rollme AirCam, a lightweight, wearable device that merges an open-ear bone conduction headset with an AI-integrated 8MP camera. Designed primarily for hands-free, first-person point-of-view (POV) recording, the device aims to replace cumbersome action camera rigs like chest straps and helmet mounts for fitness enthusiasts, travelers, and content creators.
Hands-Free 1080p Imaging and Stabilization
The centerpiece of the Rollme AirCam is its front-facing 8MP high-definition camera, which records video at 1080p resolution. To counteract the motion blur and shakiness inherent to activities such as cycling, running, and hiking, Rollme has outfitted the device with proprietary electronic image stabilization (EIS) software.
Operation of the device relies on a touch-sensitive interface located on the chassis:
- Single Tap: Captures a still photograph.
- Double Tap: Commences or terminates video recording.
- Triple Tap: Initiates standalone audio recording.
Integrated AI Assistant and Real-Time Translation
Beyond its hardware capabilities, the AirCam leverages advanced large language models (LLMs) to function as a voice-activated smart assistant. Through its multimodal AI system, the wearable can analyze the user’s surroundings to identify text, physical objects, landmarks, and general environmental contexts, delivering real-time auditory explanations to the wearer.
Additionally, the device features a real-time translation engine. This utility is designed to facilitate seamless, multilingual communication during international travel or cross-cultural business engagements.
Bone Conduction Audio and Ergonomics
Prioritizing situational awareness and user safety, the AirCam utilizes an open-ear bone conduction acoustic design. By leaving the ear canal entirely unobstructed, the headset ensures that users remain fully aware of ambient environmental sounds, such as oncoming traffic or pedestrians, while streaming media or conducting calls.

Acoustic Specifications: Audio is delivered via 16mm high-fidelity drivers calibrated for deep bass and acoustic clarity. For voice communication, the device employs dual microphones integrated with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) technology to isolate the user’s voice from ambient background noise.
Battery Architecture, Pricing, and Availability
The AirCam is powered by a 220mAh internal battery. Optimization protocols allow the hardware to achieve up to 120 hours of standby time, or up to 10 hours of continuous music playback and voice calls on a single charge cycle.
The Rollme AirCam is currently available for purchase globally via the official Rollme online storefront. It is priced at US$79.99 and is offered in three distinct colorways: Classic Black, Vibrant Orange, and Pearl White.
