Sol.One, the Belgian developer of autonomous drone systems and defence technology, today announces three major steps in its growth trajectory. The company’s ambition is to rank among the top 5 UAV companies in Europe.
€2 million capital round at a €750 million valuation
Sol.One has today raised €2 million in fresh capital, in the form of equity and debt, at a valuation of €750 million. The round was led by Leviora Capital. The company is in further discussions with additional parties regarding follow-on investments in the coming weeks and months.
New 8,000 m2 drone factory in Ghent (Evergem)
On 4 August, Sol.One begins the fit-out of its new 8,000 m2 drone factory in Evergem, near Ghent. Current production of the Saboteur drones will move to the new site immediately, while the facility is progressively equipped to manufacture drones at automotive scale.
“DRONE” ticker reserved on Euronext
In view of a future stock market listing, Sol.One has reserved the ticker symbol DRONE on the Euronext main market.
“This capital round, the launch of our new factory and the reserved ticker are three concrete building blocks of one and the same ambition: making Sol.One one of the five largest UAV companies in Europe. Starting tomorrow, we are building the production capacity in Evergem to get there,” says Filip Verhaeghe, CEO of Sol.One.
