Sometimes There Is No Absolute Right Answer For SEO

John Mueller has one of his Google lines again, he said in response to someone trying to pick the right answer for an SEO question – he said, “Sometimes there is no absolute right answer — but you can choose one, and make it the right answer.”

This was posted on LinkedIn in response to should you expand a current page’s content or break the content into another page, because it is unique on its own.

The question was from Christopher Iwundu:

I found an existing article that clearly needs expansion, but there’s a sub-intent within the topic that I believe deserves to stand on its own.

So, do I expand the existing article to include the sub-intent or create a supporting article and connect the two?

And John Mueller from Google responded:

Sometimes there is no absolute right answer — but you can choose one, and make it the right answer.
