StirlingX is seeking a Junior Remote Pilot for a full-time position based at remote location (accessible by car) near South Cambridge.

Role Summary
This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with some commercial RPAS experience and a strong attitude and appetite for learning. It suits recent school or university leavers who are keen to develop a career in drone operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate RPAS: Safely control drones for missions like infrastructure inspection and hazard monitoring.
- Mission Planning: Prepare flight plans considering weather, airspace, and objectives.
- Flight Operations: Execute VLOS and BVLOS missions following company protocols.
- Data Collection: Gather and analyse mission data for reporting.
- Maintenance: Perform routine checks and troubleshooting on RPAS equipment.
- Compliance: Follow all regulatory and safety standards.
- Training: Engage in ongoing learning to keep up with technology and regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of flights and maintenance.
Skills, Experience and Qualities:
Essential Qualities
- GVC certification
- At least 20hrs of proven currency of commercial RPAS experience
- Strong interest in drone technology and aviation.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
Preferred Experience
- Full UK driving licence for travel flexibility.
- Familiarity with drones or related tech.
- Fixed wing/VTOL ARPAS certification and operations.
Training Provided
- UK drone law and compliance.
- Project management fundamentals.
- RPAS operation and mission planning.
- Safety and maintenance protocols.
