Storage Optimization, Liquid Glass UX, and Multi-Protocol Charging

Honor just started testing MagicOS 11, giving us a look at some of the changes coming to its next update. The company has actualy said that a beta is now being pushed to devices.

Storage

Storage is one of the things getting better in MagicOS 11. Honor says the new version has storage changes that will free up space on devices. The idea is really straightforward: the system will handle stored data much better, leaving more room for apps, photos, videos and other stuff.

A new interface

The update also brings a new interface style called “Liquid Glass” UX. Honor is changing the look of the system with a new design, including smoother transitions and updated visuals. That will give MagicOS a much different look then the version we have right now. The new design will also make MagicOS look more consistent across different parts of the system.

Better charging support

Charging should also get a bite. MagicOS 11 will add support for multi-protocol fast charging, meaning that compatible Honor devices will work with more charging standards. This should make charging a little less painfull for users who own chargers from different brands.

Right now tho, all of this is part of the beta rather than a public release. Honor will probably use the testing period to work out bugs and make more changes before MagicOS 11 reaches testers or a public release.

Still, the first details make the update worth watching. Rather than relying on one huge headline, Honor is working on parts of the everyday phone use at once, and i really think that this is what people want, but thats only my opinion of course. Better storage management could help users running short on space and wider charging support will a welcome quality-of-life improvement for a lot of people, plus the new liquid glass look, its a lot in a single announcment, but i dont think anyone is complaining!
